I made my first pictures with a Pentax Spotmatic F. Photography was still completely analogue back in the 80s. To get photos you would first have to choose the right film, then get the perfect exposure while taking the picture, develop the film in a perfectly mixed liquid, let it dry perfectly, then another perfect exposure in the darkroom (choose the right paper), develop the paper in another right mix of liquids again, and let it dry! ...And all of these steps called for inventive manipulation to get the most perfect prints out. So a lot of stuff went on to get a decent picture.
